General Information

  • Type: Partner looking for project
  • Organisation: Vilnius University
  • Country: Lithuania (LT)

Research area

  • Scientific area(s):
    1. Understand the impact of interventions on development and transmission of AMR
  • One Health Setting:

    Human Health Animal Health Environment

  • Keywords:

    opportunistic pathogens; antibiotic resistance gene detection; ARG transfer novel biomarker design

  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

    We have experience in ARG detection (PCR-based) in bacteria, environmental or other difficult samples, testing for mobile ARG (integrons, plasmids) and their analysis. Our main subject is opportunistic antibiotic resistant pathogens. Experience in microbial genetics allows us to perform virulence factor research and analysis and adapt novel biomarkers for detection.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

    We would like to join a project where we could adapt novel markers for detection, perform ARG detection in various samples, analyse the means of ARG transfer between organisms.
