  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

    I am an NHS Consultant in Microbiology based in Dundee, UK with experience in the application of rapid molecular diagnostics within routine clinical pathways. I have used innovative data analysis to understand the epidemiology of HAIs using eHealth data covering approximately 20% of the Scottish population. I also have experience using sequencing approaches to aid Public Health and healthcare outbreak investigations. We have a bacterial isolate collection dating back to 1999, which contains almost 100,000 isolates providing a source of surveillance data from bacteraemia and respiratory infections throughout the UK and Ireland. I also have experience in assessing combinations of drugs against CPOs.

    I would be very interested to hear from any projects looking at rapid diagnostics, use of big data, genomics etc.
