    The Institute for Bacterial Infections and Zoonoses (IBIZ) is part of the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut (FLI), which is the German federal institute of animal health. IBIZ runs 12 National Reference Laboratories including Campylobacter, Staphylococcus sp. and Salmonella and performs routine diagnostics of these pathogens as well as their AMR. IBIZ has successfully established Whole-Genome-Sequencing for routine outbreak analysis. Researchers from FLI may collect samples from German farms, apply and validate novel tools and perform conventional phenotyping and WGS as validation and improvement
