General Information

  • Type: Partner looking for project
  • Organisation: Sussex Sustainability Research Programme, University of Sussex
  • Country: United Kingdom (UK)

Research area

  • Scientific area(s):
    1. Understand the impact of interventions on development and transmission of AMR
    2. Design, implement, evaluate, and compare innovative interventions to control the development and transmission of AMR
  • One Health Setting:

    Environment

  • Keywords:

    Antibiotics; water quality; environmental; modelling; wastewater

  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

    We are environmental modellers whose primary expertise is water quality modelling in the freshwater system. We have extensive experience in modelling the freshwater system from a catchment scale to a global scale. We have developed a global scale water quality modelling and successfully applied and modelled nutrients, oxygen, and faecal coliforms. We are currently working on developing a module of Antibiotics to simulate in the freshwater system.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

    We would like to join projects with AMR in the freshwater system, but anything which has environmental dynamics and modelling components of the freshwater system. We are particularly interested in modelling antibiotics loadings from human and animal to the aquatic environment and simulating various scenarios to understand the impact of possible interventions to control the development of AMR.
