  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

    The group Observatory of Digital Content and Platforms (OBCOP) of University Jaume I is focused on the study of media and technological platforms (DTT, OTT, GAFAM). The OBCOP covers media ecosystem structures, business models development, content development and audience response and interaction. It gives special attention to the link with cultural diversity and gender equality, the association with social responsibility and the effects on local markets. We are looking to collaborate with partners sharing assets and/or expertise in media ecosystem studies, audiovisual content analysis, qualitative and quantitative method research, gender studies on film/television, creative industries studies, big technological groups (GAFAM) and European communication policy.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

    The project studies the impact of international streaming platforms (Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime Video) on the European media industry. It is focused on both content and industry development. It aims to contribute to knowledge about how media ecosystem is structuring, what are the power structures within the players binominal international-national, and which are the consequences all this has over cultural identities and European economies.
