Graduate of applied biotechnology at the Hugo Kołłątaj University of Agriculture in Krakow with an engineering degree (2012) and master’s degree (2013). In 2018, awarded a PhD degree in medical sciences (specializing in medical biology) from the Maj Institute of Pharmacology, Polish Academy of Sciences after successfully defending her dissertation (“Searching for a potential therapy for essential tremor: studies on dopamine and adenosine receptor ligands in a harmaline-induced rat model”) with honors.

After earning her PhD, employed as a Research Assistant at the Department of Neuropsychopharmacology, Institute of Pharmacology, Polish Academy of Sciences, where she continued her work built upon the research she started during her PhD. Her research focused on molecular and neurochemical mechanisms underlying essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease, with particular emphasis on the role of dopamine and adenosine receptors, as well as the GABAergic system.

Recipient of the international IBRO-PERC InEurope Short Stay Travel Grant, under which she completed a research fellowship at the University of Cagliari (Italy). Principal investigator of a research project funded under the MINIATURA call and co-investigator in five research projects financed by the National Science Centre and the European Union.
